Lovely vibrant green sweater, new super soft interior, with two embroidered leaves salvaged from a vintage quilt.

Measures nearly 23" across chest, from pit to pit.

Description

A cozy collaboration between secondhand comfort and handmade detail. Each sweater begins its second life as a pre-loved garment — sourced secondhand for quality, softness, and fit — then reimagined with hand-cut quilt scraps from the Woodbrick studio.

Every patch, curve, and stitch is placed by eye, turning ordinary knits into one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate the resourceful charm of upcycling. The quilts used may come from salvaged quilt pieces, well-loved blankets, or remnants left from other Woodbrick projects — each one carrying its own history of colour and texture.

This series reflects the heart of Woodbrick: sustainability, storytelling, and the beauty of reuse. The base sweaters vary in brand and material, but all are carefully selected for comfort and quality. No two are the same — and that’s exactly the point.

Even the smallest fabric scraps need to be recycled!

For just $4, you can help me recycle all the teeny, tiny fabric scraps from my sewing projects. I partner with The Green Thimble, a sewing store dedicated to making sewing as eco-friendly as possible. They run a recycling program with Debrand in the Lower Mainland, BC, ensuring that textile waste is given a second life. Through Debrand, scraps can be transformed into fiber fill, insulation, or even energy, keeping them out of landfills and reducing pollution. It's a small step with a big impact on our planet!
