Vintage saturated colour block quilt with coordinating butterfly aplique pockets!
Description
Thoughtfully designed for comfort, character, and everyday wear, Woodbrick quilt coats feature a relaxed, slightly boxy silhouette with dropped shoulders and a structured stand collar. The oversized fit allows for effortless layering, making them a go-to piece through every season.
Each coat is finished with durable front snap closures and generously sized pockets—perfect for carrying essentials or simply keeping your hands warm.
What truly sets these coats apart is their story. Every piece is handmade on Vancouver Island from a carefully curated selection of secondhand quilts, blankets, and coverlets—ranging from vintage heirlooms to more modern textile finds. By sourcing and repurposing these materials locally, we breathe new life into forgotten fabrics, celebrating their unique patterns, textures, and histories.
No two coats are ever alike—each one is a one-of-a-kind expression of timeless style, sustainability, and craftsmanship.

Care
Textiles are sourced secondhand and have been made, used and loved before taking on new life as jackets. While materials have been carefully sourced and vetted for quality, signs of fabric age, wear and stains are possible throughout the finished garment. This is an evident fact of upcycling and adds to the character of finished items. Please consider this carefully before purchasing items as no returns are accepted.
Quilt jackets should be treated with care and washed in garment bags or on delicate cycles to preserve snap closures and vintage quilting. Hang to dry.
Thank you Brightside Fabric Co. for permission to sell coats from the Flora pattern.

Even the smallest fabric scraps need to be recycled!
For just $4, you can help me recycle all the teeny, tiny fabric scraps from my sewing projects. I partner with The Green Thimble, a sewing store dedicated to making sewing as eco-friendly as possible. They run a recycling program with Debrand in the Lower Mainland, BC, ensuring that textile waste is given a second life. Through Debrand, scraps can be transformed into fiber fill, insulation, or even energy, keeping them out of landfills and reducing pollution. It's a small step with a big impact on our planet!
