Where to Find Woodbrick this Spring

Emily Peltier

It seems as though we've made it to The Other Side of winter. Plums are blossoming, the sun keeps peeking out and I've even spotted some bare legs around town. With folks itching to get out it's the perfect time to make plans for market strolling.

Here's where you'll find me this spring...

A thrilling annual event, the unparalleled Hanami Blossom Market returns March 14, at the Fernwood Commity Centre. Rain or shine - inside and out, you'll find food, workshops, entertainment and of course amazing vendors. Hosted by The Fernwood Maker's Party and Local Made by Hand from 11-4pm. Recommend walk, riding, or busing to this busy event!

Next, a new market and a first for me, hosted by MakeShare, Local Folk and Found Market at the Prospect Lake Community Hall. Sunday, March 22nd from 11am to 4pm. I'm excited to be a part of an inaugural event created by a long-standing Victoria organizer, MakeShare, who hosts regular markets at Sea Cider and other local venues.

The last weekend in March - Saturday, March 28th -  you'll find me at the North Douglas Church on Jolly Place for the Handmade Village Craft Market Spring Market. This is a free market in an accessible venue situated at the crossing of Mackenzie and the #1 highway. A great spot to come visit me if you're travelling from farther out of the downtown core!

Check back for more updates on market events, and I hope to see you soon!
